Rachel King, founder of In Bloom Birth Work,  is a CAPPA-certified birth and postpartum doula and Evidence Based Birth® Instructor, serving South Jersey and the Greater Philadelphia area. With a focus on evidence-based information and thoughtful emotional support, Rachel helps parents navigate the magical and often mysterious world of childbirth and parenting. She also helps other birth workers and healthcare professionals understand how to best support their clients in our current atmosphere through teaching and mentorship. As an experienced group facilitator, researcher, and passionate birth- and baby-nerd, Rachel is “a little bit science, a little bit rock and roll” - she loves bringing the art and science of birth to life for her clients and students.

Rachel is also an avid student, having taken multiple trainings with Evidence Based Birth®, Blossoming Bellies Wholistic Birth Services, Manhattan Birth, Bundle Birth Nurses, and more. Before becoming a doula, Rachel spent over a decade in the education sector, holding roles in research, marketing, and customer experience.

Residing in Cherry Hill with her husband and their two sons, Rachel can be found gardening, cooking, reading, and indulging in all things true crime when she's not on call. She is passionate about music, grammar, a well-timed comedic moment, and the intricacies of the human psyche.
