The South Jersey Doula Alliance is committed to advancing maternal health reform and elevating the doula profession by providing top-quality education, support, and community to birth workers in South Jersey. The SJDA serves as a professional network where doulas, midwives, and other birth work professionals can learn, grow, and collaborate, in allyship with other local organizations and institutions.

We envision a world where doulas are widely recognized as knowledgeable and essential members of the birth team. We are committed to empowering birth workers with high-quality continuous education, a supportive community, valuable mentorship opportunities, and ongoing opportunities to support their professional and personal growth.

We aim to build strong alliances with local institutions, practitioners, and community organizations across the region to enhance collaboration and grow professional relationships. Through these partnerships, we seek to integrate the expertise of birth workers into the broader healthcare system.

The South Jersey Doula Alliance is dedicated to collective collaboration that aspires to uplift birth workers and nurture the next generation of doulas, ensuring the profession continues to grow with the respect, regard, and esteem it deserves. The SJDA is not a doula agency or certification program.
